Meet our New Wine Manager!

Wines and More Wareham is very pleased to announce that Kelsey Williams is the store’s new Manager of the Fine Wines Department. While new to our Wine Department, she is a two year veteran of our corporate organization, has five years in the industry,  and is moving to Wines and More Wareham from a sister store.

Kelsey’s wine career started in her early twenties when she would help her mother (who is also in the Wine business) at charity and other wine tasting events. As her mother’s excellent assistant, she began to learn about and develop an appreciation for wine. Kelsey started her career in the restaurant industry and during her 10 years of work she says she “fell in love with wine”.  She soon left to pursue her true calling in the wine retail business. She is a graduate of Johnson and Wales University in Providence and then later completed the Johnson and Wales wine and spirits education trust program. She was also selected to attend a prestigious training program in wine run by the Culinary Institute in Napa, California.

Her favorite wine? Kelsey is very fond of New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs. She adds with a smile that she also likes reds especially when she is with family and friends and enjoying a great dinner. She loves the way red wine pairs with delicious foods. Kelsey is a big fan of red blends and credits Apothic Red Blend as the wine that introduced her and many, many others to the joy of red blends. She adds that red blends have really gone mainstream and the numbers of blends have grown tremendously along with the number of people who drink them today.

Kelsey is thrilled to be managing the beautiful Wines and More Wareham Fine Wine department. She points to three things which set our store apart from other wine stores: Size, Selection and Service. All of you who have been to our store know exactly what she is talking about. Kelsey adds that “We are here to help you. If you have questions, just ask us and we will be sure to help you get the wine you want.”  Kelsey also stresses that the wine department is not stagnate. It is ever evolving with new selections coming to the store all the time. “Our tasting programs”, she said, “give our customers the chance to try new wines and learn more about them”.

Aside from wine, Kelsey has also fallen in love with her two very special dogs, a male boxer and a female lab. At the end of a hard day, she likes to kick back with a nice glass of wine and spend time with them. Sounds like a terrific way to relax!

Be sure to come by and say Hi to Kelsey when you are in the store. She will be happy to meet you and talk with you about your favorite wine….and maybe your favorite dog too!
